The corporation reclaims the alkaline land by distributing gypsum to the farmers in the state of Haryana as per guidelines of Agriculture Department. Presently, the detail of total area reclaimed or to be reclaimed is given as under:-
Area
(i) Total area to be reclaimed since 1974 in the State = 405499 Hec.
(ii) Total area reclaimed upto 30-06-2015 = 355126Hect.
(iii) Balance area will be reclaimed in coming 8-10 years = 50373 Hect.
However, as per latest survey conducted by Govt. of India,Agri. Deptt. In 2010 vide letter No. 11-2/2014-NRM-I, dated 24-02-2014, 1.84 lacs hectare area is still remain to be reclaimed in the state of Haryana.
(ii) Scheme wise sale of gypsum powder:-
Corporation is distributing gypsum to the farmers under various schemes sponsored by Agriculture Department on subsidy provided by the State/Central Government, as detail given below.
